The ability to continue with anti-depressant therapy during pregnancy might be new information for many women. The anti-depressants might prevent depressed women from turning to alcohol or other self-medications, which would harm the fetus, and the depression produces noxious chemicals on its own. A pregnancy without panic attacks is certainly better than a pregnancy with them.
