I haven't heard depression called melancholia in a while, but maybe that's still a clinical definition. I'd take some statements in this one with a grain of salt - for example, that you should see a change in your mood in about ten days on an antidepressants. Most of the SSRI's and SNRIs take about 6 yo 8 weeks.
